Obstetrics and gynaecology research statement . This chapter describes research topics, the accomplishment of which would significantly improve the health of women and the results of pregnancy. Many challenges are on the radar for immediate and long-range research in OB/Gyne. The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, & Women’s Health will showcase original research, evidence-based reviews, and insightful features on women’s health, obstetrics, and gynaecology, encompassing the entire life course—from adolescence through menopause and beyond. This includes the management of pregnancy and childbirth, preventive care, and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders specific to women. With a long publishing history of more than 45 years, Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research is the leading OBGYN journal in Asia. The performance and dissemination of research is the key to advancing individual and population health and the practice of OB/Gyne worldwide. The breadth and depth of this research agenda underscore the importance of ensuring a thriving research enterprise in OB/GYN. The topics cover a wide range of issues including postpartum care, breastfeeding, contraception, menstrual health, maternal and infant health, and cancer prevention. The first problem statement aims to assess knowledge of risks from exposure to teratogens during early pregnancy and the effectiveness of a video teaching program. We provide a medium for research in the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology from within and beyond the Asia Pacific region. Obstetric and gynecological nursing encompasses a wide range of topics that address the health and wellness of women from adolescence through menopause and beyond. This document provides a list of 35 potential research topics related to obstetrics and gynecology for a nursing student to explore further.
